Monter House marathon

I convinced shadesong and ocean_song to watch the three eps of Monster House on Tivo, and they were both hooked. mermaidblue joined us later, and seemed enthralled by the Zen House ep (although that was the only conflict-free episode I've seen so far).

I also love the followups they have on the website. Especially the questions about how pissed the neighbors were. :-)

We've decided that if they ever come to Atlanta, we have to get them to turn vidicon and bheansidhe's abode into a true International House of Blasphemy.

Alas, according to the website, they're still only focusing on LA.

Bwahahaha!

Teen Titans Go!

DC has announced a tie-in with the Teen Titans cartoon, written by J Torres and drawn by Todd Nauck and Larry Stucker. In other words, Young Justice with a different writer. :-/

At least J's a good writer, though. But this creates even less of an excuse for the travesty that was the YJ/Titans crossover.

Another nifty DVD -- The Nightmare Collection

tbrents has pointed out this DVD. It's a collection of five short horror films, including one by Bill "Splat" Johnson, who is one of my favorite f/x artists. Looks quite nifty, and they intend to make it a series.
