Andrew Burt is doing his level best to make SFWA look dumber than an Idahoan senator.

That said, what he's done here, according to the DMCA provisions, is to commit perjury. Not sure, though, if doing it under the aegis of the SFWA makes the organization responsible, or he's still the guilty party.

Not that, to the best of my knowledge, anyone has actually been convicted of perjury for abusing the DMCA yet. But it sounds like Burt really wants to be a test case.

ETA: Ironically, Burt is president of another organization that's supposed to allow the individual authors to control what works of theirs can be accessed.

D'oh!

Makes you wonder if Caesar's last words were a question or a threat.

Dammit.

I thought that owning a Wii would let me skip the Guitar Hero thing.

No such luck.

Man, I need this. I mean, Sabotage, Paint it Black, Cult of Personality, and Rock and Roll All Night?

Although I'd pay $5 more for an edition that was free of Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer.

Tanga. Short-term deals on board, card, and other games. They also have brainteasers on the site.

Michael Jackson, best known as The Beer Hunter (not to be confused with the singer of the same name) has died. :-(

I got to meet him once (he ran a Belgian beer tasting at the Carlos Museum at Emory a few years ago). A nice and enthusiastic man, and a great champion of the idea that beer doesn't have to be the tasteless swill that gets churned out under names like "Bud" and "Coors."
