Anita Blake: The Movie!

Based on this article, it'll be more horror/action oriented than ZOMG SHE'S IN A THREESOME WITH A WERE-NARWHAL AND A LEPRECHAUN. Although I'm assuming that if the series is successful enough, it'll undergo the same evolution as the books.

Date: 2009-03-31 07:36 pm (UTC)Not a huge surprise though. While neither Tanya Huff or Jim Butcher's urban fantasy stuff scored big, the Charlaine Harris adaptation has for HBO. I'd expect more of the romance (i.e. sex) heavy series in the sub-genre to be plundered by various networks. Especially ones that can get away with nudity...
