The 17 Days of Video Games deal is on RPGs. Discounted games inlcude a lot of Final Fantasy (going as low as $11 for the PS2 and PSP), Kingdom Hearts, Resonance of Fate, Chrono Rrigger, The World Ends With You, 3d Dot Game Heroes, Ys, Valkyria Chronicles, Crisis Core, Star Ocean, and more.

There's also a sale on Disney Video Games, with discounts on Tron, Toy Story, Sing It, Guilty Party, and more, all at 40% off.

You can also nab Donkey Kong Country Returns for $39.99 (20% off).

There's a big movie focus this week in the Lightning Deals section. You can see the calendar of movie lightning deals here.

You can get a set of all four Bring it On movies for $10.99 (61% off). The first one's good, at least; I haven't seen the others..

North and South: The Complete Collection is back down to $17.99 (74% off).

Across the Universe is $6.99 on Blu-Ray (65% off) and $7.99 on regular DVD (47% off).

Other (seemingly random) good Blu-Ray deals include Season 2 of Burn Notice for $11.99 (80% off), Independence Day for $8.99 (74% off), Season 4 of Bones for $16.99 (76% off), and Season 1 of Glee for $34.99 (50% off). In most of those cases, the Blu-Ray is cheaper than the standard DVD.

Dungeons and Dragons: The Animated Series is $7.49 (63% off). Note that this is the pretty basic set of episodes, not the five-disc set that was released a few years back. You can also nab the complete He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Complete SeriesHe-Man and the Masters of the Universe (the 2002 Cartoon Network series, not the '80s show) for $7.99 (60% off).

The PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper by Presto is down to $14.99 (50% off).

Finally, Feist's album The Reminder is available for download for $3.99.

1. We saw Tangled last night, and loved it. It's not without flaws, but even those are a lot more complex than I'd expected. Overall, it was a blast, and has a great cast (and it's so nice to see Disney continuing to remember that great voices can come from Broadway; Donna Murphy is wonderful as the emotionally abusive villain of the piece).

2. The Chive -- the site best known for woman quitting her job via dry erase board hoax --- has put together a collection of Twisted Disney Princesses. with many of the sidekicks and others also coming out pretty evil.

Sheesh

This, folks, is why important legal decisions should not be made by 450-year-old explorers.

I'm guessing this, unlike every case where, say, a judge declared a law that discriminated against gay people unconstitutional, will not be labeled "judicial activism."

Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time ever, a movie based (loosely) on a Tim Powers novel:

Oh, lovely

A racist asshole who coaches ten-year-olds in football is complaining that A) he has lots of Asian friends, really, B) that the people who printed out the Facebook postings are the real jerks, and C) that his comments posted to facebook were meant to be private. Meanwhile, one of his supporters accuses people of playing "the race card," as if they just pulled it out of their sleeve.

Given the free space, they're already at bingo on some cards.
