One of the joys of getting dressed before having coffee is that one often fails to notice things. Like the fact that a shirt -- specifically, the shirt I grabbed to wear today -- went through the wash with a sticker on the front.

By the time the coffee had kicked in, I was already at the bus stop, and had a nice glop of white on the front pocket of my shirt that was not peeling off nearly as well as I'd hoped.

Fortunately, a brief search of the internet reveals that I'm not the first person to have this problem.

And it turns out that the fix is WD-40. Really.

Which we happen to have in our office supply cabinet at work.

One quick spray later, and my pocket looked normal. Well, aside from the big WD-40 stain, but some water seems to have handled that quite nicely.

Yeah, I'll be filing this bit of info away for future reference.

WD-40 is a wonder substance, like medicinal compound.

It's good for crayon that has melted on in the dryer too. You'll need an old towel or something on the other side, because otherwise the wax will just slide through the fibers to the back of your shirt while you scrub it.

WD-40 should have the same reputation as duct tape. It can be used to fix anything that needs to be removed, come apart, etc. as duct tape can be used to put anything together.

I use it regularly to get the left over junk from stickers on the front of used CD cases.
