This June,
frayedthoughts will be walking on a team as a part of the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) overnight walk this June. It's a big event for a very important cause, I know it's something that's affected more people on my FL than I care to think about, and I apologize if talking about it is in any way triggery, but not talking about it is too often a part of the problem. A number of you (including my wife) took part in a walk last year, so I know that you're aware of the importance of this.
You can access their team page and make donations by clicking here; donating to any of them helps the team as a whole, and if you click on each of their names, they'll tell you (better than I can) why they're walking, and how important it is to them.

Date: 2009-05-12 04:21 pm (UTC)I'm walking in her memory, but so that maybe someone else DOESN'T walk in a friend's memory. So that, even thought I am grateful to have met Laura and Yvette, possibly someone else doesn't meet new friends and a good friend's wake.
So for every single step in that twenty mile walk - I'm walking in sadness and in hope.
