I decided (about two months ago!) that I prefer an epic late-season collapse to an entire craptacular season. Of course, given the weakness of the NL East, it's still possible that this year we might get both.

I suspect it's a matter of the grass being always greener. Whichever one's happening, sucks. That daid said, you might be right; the division might well be won with fewer than 90 wins.
