The network that treated Firefly and The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. so wonderfully is launching another sci-fi western.

You can start adding it to your TV show deadpools right now.

*sigh*

At least it's not on SyFy - in that case it would be BAD, too.

(My husband has a theory called "Conservation of Quality" for SyFy - in order to produce kick-ass shows like Battlestar Galactica, other original shows/movies suck to maintain the balance.)

I caught a couple episodes of Warehouse 13 while house-sitting, and thought it was pretty good. But yeah do I find there mini-series and movies to be just dreadful...

Urgh. I still cringe every time I see "SyFy."

And I think your husband is on to something.

Remember the Fox motto... All series pre-cancelled for your convenience.

"What I'm really interested in is the revamping of the Western genre where you still have all of the iconic Western themes and iconic Western tropes but the idea is that it will feel incredibly contemporary and will introduce the Western to a whole new generation," Rosenbaum said.

Yeah! Cause no one's ever--oh, wait. Yes they did. :|

Couldn't they just...i dunno, bring Firefly back? Since it is very obviously loved? I don't think it's any secret they screwed that one up, lol, do they think it's been long enough and no one will remember?

Just the top part was supposed to have italics, to indicate it was a quote. html FAIL.

Sometimes I think FOX does things just to make me upset.

"a script commitment with a significant penalty"

What the heck does that mean? If he actually finishes the script for a season, it'll be scheduled for cancellation? Or maybe, if he doesn't finish it, they'll renew it for 5 seasons and force him to come up with totally incoherent, meandering, completely-besides-the-point episodes?
