Amazon's Top Ten SF/Fantasy books of 2009

Amazon's Top Ten Science Fiction and Fantasy Books of 2009 is up, and the list includes Interfictions 2 (which, of course, has a story by shadesong in it)! Yay!

(And the other books on the list aren't shabby, either.)

Hmmmmm ... I can get on board for 3, maybe 4 from the editor's list. Only 4 from the customer's list.

The Customer list is purely based on bestseller status, which makes it dubious in general. At least with the critical list, I know that there was some thought behind what to choose. There were about four for me on the editor's list I liked a lot, but even the one customer's choice book I liked (the Sookie Stackhouse one) isn't one that would come near my "top ten" list.

Pampliset and Boneshaker are particularly wonderful; I'm advocating for Boneshaker to be the best book of the year whenever anyone asks me.

Yeah - Boneshaker looks like one I'm gonna have to pick up. I've been on the lookout for that one for a while.
