Oh, For fuck's sake
Feb. 16th, 2010 01:37 pmI thought that idiots blaming Dungeons and Dragons for the actions of murderers was a trend that went out of style two decades ago. Turns out that Boston Herald "reporter" Laurel Sweet is a two-decade out-of-fashion moron.

Date: 2010-02-16 07:41 pm (UTC)The whole story just doesn't do a lot for me.
One of the local media critics said it was the biggest in Boston since Charles Stewart, then amended that to add the church sex-abuse scandal.
I came up with a half-dozen more.

Date: 2010-02-16 11:24 pm (UTC)1) The source. "They even acted this crap out." This is some poor little creature who has so little life that their only hope is to be a source for a third-stringer journalist looking to publish something about the latest Murder of the Century. Even better is that source can't attribute lack of life to D&D as that's something only weirdos do.
2) "Police seized two Dungeons & Dragons books from McDermott’s Haverhill apartment after he shot seven co-workers to death on Dec. 26, 2000." I didn't realize D&D books required seizing like their were some manner of contraband. All I can see is a gamer cop that discovered that McDermott had a 1st edition Deities & Demigods...
Gamer Cop: "We'll need to seize this one, sarge."
Sarge: "Occult crap, huh? Ok then."
Gamer Cop Thought Bubble: "It's the one with Cthulhu and Elric and this is sooo not making it to the evidence locker.
