On the one hand, I completely agree with this. On the other, I find that, since Amanda Palmer -- like her more talented spiritual predecessor, Andrew Dice Clay -- thrives on being an asshole and getting negative attention, criticizing her is the same as giving her a pat on the head. The proper way to deal with Amanda is to ignore her. Which is pretty much what I'm planning on doing from this point forward.

Amanda Palmer: Seriously mentally ill, or raging asshole?

Damned if I know. But man, I end up just typing things like "GTFO" whenever she opens her fool mouth.

I liked her for Oasis and Leeds United, and for having a belly and body hair and for going all tangential on things....

And THEN....

Evelyn/Evelyn. I had fleeting and brief sympathy because I thought well, it's no fun to work forever on a project, only to discover that it's going to hurt people. But she was so dismissive, not taking even the briefest moment to ponder and consider what folks were telling her. And evidently she hasn't learned the lesson of thinking before you speak--ESPECIALLY on twitter.

Big disappointed sigh.

I seem to have missed the latest reason to be mad at Amanda Palmer. I did a brief internet search and I'm not finding much but maybe I'm not looking in the right places. Can you fill me in, please?

Ugh, I just looked at your link again and now I get it. I think I'm too tired to process all this tonight but from looking at her Twitter feed, it seems to be some sort of reference to the Jerry Springer Musical. Whether that's appropriate or not, I can't judge right now. *sigh*

I happily ignored ADC, and am happy to ignore AP too. However, my respect for Gaiman has suffered.

The only good thing AP's done lately is touting Unwoman's ustream on twitter. Unwoman is way more talented, nicer, smarter and friendlier, but very less well-known.
