I remain way too amused that the onetime Lord Chancellor of England (and John Hurt's character in A Man For All Seasons) was named Richard Rich. I keep expecting him to be blond and followed around by a robot maid and a dog with dollar signs in its fur.

I had similar issues! Not alone!

Tangent related to A Man For All Seasons: whenever I eat a Snickers bar, I always hear Paul Scofield saying, "It profiteth a man nothing to perjure his soul for the world, Richard; but for Wales?" Only instead of Wales, Paul Scofield's voice swaps it out for "snickers bar."

(This is because a Snickers bar was involved in one of my first deliberate lies to a religious authority figure. Honestly, I feel worse about lying to get the Snickers bar than my eventual heresy. I mean, my heresy was morally motivated but the Snickers bar was for base gain and because I wanted something to eat.)

There's a Mormon animator named Richard Rich, too. He did the various Animated Stories of the Bible episodes wherein everyone's rotoscoped in slow-mo. Dude would never fit through the eye of a needle.
