In case anyone's wondering

UMass-Boston is one of the only schools left that doesn't seem to offer any sort of guest access to their network, something that's really annoying when attending a tech conference at the university (especially two weeks after attending two at guest-friendly Northeastern). I've got access now because I'm at a session in a lab, but that's not exactly condusive to the live-tweeting I was planning on doing. Also not good for keeping up with work.

*grumble* This day will not be as productive as I'd hoped (and I might have to cut out early since I can't actually know if anything's going on with the system I administer).

Question for you: you are not finding UMB-Guest as one of the networks? Only UMB-Open?

Correct - only UMB-Open (I'm also seeing UMB-Fac-Staff, which is locked).

Hmm. Where are you on-campus? I need to do some research in the Library for a paper anyways and I can be down there by 11am.

I'm actually in the library. :-) Currently in Presentation Room 1 on the lower level until 12:30 (there's a between-session break from 11:10-20, but I'm not switching rooms).

(and don't worry too much -- as long as I'm in this room, I can at least use the desktop computers)
