Holy No New Ideas in Nearly Two Decades, Batman!

Frank Miller's latest looks to be really, really, really awful, even by his standards, but just short of the "so bad it's good" level achieved in All Star Batman and Robin.

For all my snarking at Moore over the same time period, he at least tries to grow, and occasionally delivers (the first half of Promethia, all of Top Ten, etc). Miller's been running on empty for nearly thirty years now, but now it looks like he's not even trying.

The problem with the entire thing is that it started as a Batman book in 2006 which by 2008 was halfway done when Miller decided, "Fuck Batman", then decided"No wait, Batman" and went back and forth till him and DC fought and he took his book and brought it to the people behind Cowboys & Aliens.

Which means they'll be a movie called "The Fixer" sometime in 2012 or 2013 I bet.

I was wrong about the Cowboys & Aliens things. That's a different company from Legendary who are publishing Holy Terror.

Not that that really matters.

The one hope for Holy Terror is that Bob Schrek is in charge of it.
