Using your magnetic powers to mind-control your scantily-clad adult daughter and make her dance is just plain creepy:

To be fair, back in 1973, this wasn't known, but that only excuses Englehart, not Magneto. Also, it's pretty creepy even without the parental issues.

Well, I mean, if the writers hadn't decided that he was her father at the time...
Even so. What the HELL????

The placement of the word balloons near the corner make it just that much creepier.
I do like that Iron Man seems to be going "Dude, wtf?".

Dear god, I remember that issue. I was only 13 but it was like, "WTF? That doesn't work that way."

There is just no level on which this is not creepy.

Shades of "A lapdance is so much better when the stripper is crying"?

Yes, that's the "telepathic domination of women" trope. It's already on my latest version of the bingo cards.
This has what to do with PK control of metal...?

If'n I recall correctly, he was somehow using his magnetic powers to control the amount of blood going to their brains via the iron content.
Pity there weren't any anemic Avengers or X-Men...

That is, indeed, the explanation he gives for the power he uses once in his entire career. Gotta love Marvel in the '70s.

That makes no sense either biologically, or in terms of PK
or
telepathy!
This shows how far they will stretch everything,
everything
, to work in a tired trope. Of psychic domination of women, no less.
/sigh/

How is she scantily clad? Thats a full body stocking under a one piece bathing suit. The only skin you see is her face.

They way the colorists handled her back then, I swear that half the time she looked like she was barelegged.

Also, when i read Magneto's dialogue, i hear it in The Monarch's voice. I could see him doing this to Dr. Girlfriend.
