Whenever we watch The Princess Bride -- and this is a movie I've seen at least thirty times, not least because it gets watched every Thanksgiving at our place -- every time we get to the famous "Think it'll work? It'd take a miracle" scene, I think of this scene from a totally different movie.

Hey, one way to get enjoyment from History of the World Part I. (That film rubbed me the wrong way. I wish I found it funny. Thank goodness I find lots of other stuff funny!)

I love the Princess Bride - it is a movie that has worn extraordinarily well over time.

Indeed. I love the reaction 600-plus Portlanders had when we saw it in a theater-pub screening in 2008.
