Rushed day, thanks to work and Arisia stuff.
Monday's post has a ton of DVD deals, including LotR, Harry Potter, Homeland, Mission Impossible, Brady Bunch, Lucy, Buffy, Epic, and more, as well as kitchen gadgets, Rocksmith, and other deals.
As always, there are a ton of Lightning Deals today, including lots of DVDs (with an Anime focus today), video games, gadgets, and more. It's not worth stalking these (they run out fast), but if a deal's there when you check it out, you can find some great stuff.
The Deal of the Day is on the Dremel CKDR-02 Ultimate 3-Tool Combo Kit with 15 Accessories and Storage Bag for $149.99 (62% off, and a good $90 below what others offer it for). That's a nice deal, but as more of a gadget person than a tool person, I prefer the other Daily Deal, offering discounts on a bunch of kitchen gadgets, from Crock Pots to blenders to coffeemakers to bread machines and more. Most are at least $20-25 off other sellers.
One of the Kindle Daily Deals is John Joseph Adams's Oz Reimagined anthology for $1.99.
Ellie Goulding's Burn is the $.69 song of the week.
There's also a huge board game sale, with a Buy 1, Get 50% off deal on 250 games. This includes both traditional kid-oriented stuff (Headbanz, Clue, etc) and games for adults like Catan, Ticket to Ride, and others. A lot of these games are already discounted, so that extra 50% is even nicer.
The Google Chromecast is $33.34, which is technically only 5% off the retail price, but aside from still being cheaper than anyone else has it for, there's also a $6 Play credit included with this one. Amusingly, although Prime will get you free shipping, Chromecast doesn't currently support Prime movie streaming.
In movies, all seasons of The X-Files are going for $10.49 a pop (75% off) on DVD.
Season 1 of Grimm is $12.99 (71% off) on DVD.
Blu-Ray deals: The Wizard of Oz: 75th Anniversary Edition is $7.99 (60% off). Les Miserables (Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital) is $9.99 (67% off). The underappreciated Dredd (on 3D/Blu-Ray/Digital) is $8 (68% off). Equally underappreciated remake Total Recall is $9.99 (63% off) for the Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital edition. Both remakes are better than the originals (although only the latter was ever in doubt).
Finally, in video games, Grand Theft Auto IV & Episodes from Liberty City: The Complete Edition is $14.99 (50% off) for Xbox 360 or PS3.
