Amazon added a new deal, the Fire TV for $69 ($30 off its usual price). I don't have one (we've got a Chrome and a Roku), but it's a hell of a tempting thing.
I jumped on the fire TV stick when it was introduced, and bought it for $19. Delivery,. though, is still more than 2 weeks away. The cool thing with the Amazon Fire TV and Stick, is that you can sideload XBMC and avoid all Amazon's media marketing traps, but still have a fast video streaming device.
*nod* I've been tempted, but the Roku and Chrome have been enough for us for now. I still haven't seen enough reasons to get the Fire yet, since we haven't really had streaming speed issues in general.
I like the Fire TV far more than I liked the ChromeCast. I like not having to stream through my iPad, as well as having Amazon Instant Streaming available (key for me with my Prime account).
*nod* Since we have a PS3, we've used that for Amazon streaming, so the sole point of the Chromecast has really been for streaming stuff from the iPad or computer (there's a great Chromecast app called Videostream that allows any video file on your computer to stream on the Chromecast).
