Kids on relationships

yendiWalking home from karate last night, Elayna explained how she got together with her current boyfriend, Jake.
"When I told Jake that I was going to marry Patrick, he got upset, and said, 'no! I want you to marry me!' So I said I'd marry Jake, and I told Patrick that I couldn't marry him anymore."
So I asked her, naturally, if Patrick was upset.
"No. I'm glad he took it okay. I didn't want to hurt him, either."
I can only imagine if adults were so complacent about relationships. :-)
