Jun. 14th, 2002 11:46 amThis bites -- according to http://www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=32&t=000171 , Bill Messner-Loebs is on the verge of homelessness. He's a damned talented writer and artist, and it was his run on the Flash that made Wally West interesting again, back before the vastly overrated Mark Waid ran (sorry) the title into the creative ground. And his (and Sam Keith's) Epicurious the Sage is still one of the funniest things ever written, period.
Frankly, it really sucks, and says something about the comics industry, that a writer as talented as Messner-Loebs is out of work, and hacks like Fabien Nicieza, Ron Marz, and (let's face it) Grant Morrison have good books tossed in their laps to ruin.
