The Senate has already voted 99-0 to oppose the court ruling on the Pledge. Yes, even the folks like Charlie Schumer and Paul Wellstone voated this way.

Sigh. Talk about someone unfuckingqualified to be in the Senate.

On the bright side, there was a link to this article, about how some ex-Enron employees have found ways to make money, since the company itself screwed 'em.

What gets me is Lieberman calling for a constitutional amendment to make sure the pledge isn't changed.

No. What gets me is that I voted for him.

No. What gets me is that I effectively had only two choices, and this was the better of the two.

I wanna live in a democracy.

Alas, we're stuck with an oligarchy. I could deal with a republic, if it actually worked properly. I like the idea of elected representatives. But I want them to represent me, not Joe Big Business. Hell, I'll vote for anyone who pledges to break Joe Big Business's kneecaps.
