Some writing news
Jun. 29th, 2002 08:59 pmOkay, not much progress has happened on my novel (other than adding and fleshing out at least one character in my head, but if it ain't on paper, it ain't written).
But on the non-fiction front, I've started a comics column for chud.com. I sent in two samples, pretty much figuring I'd have to change 'em, but using them as a quick proof-of-concept. Next thing I knew, both were published. You can find them at

It's far from my best writing, but I like the idea of having a deadline-driven item that will force me to put some words down (nice as LJ is, it allows me to cheat on all sorts of levels). Oh, and for those who are wondering, the parenthetical statement in the first column was added by the editor (not that I won't make my own grammar flubs :-).
Oh, and I decidedly did not choose the title. Although it's probably not a bad one, given the general target audience of Chud.
