Aug. 13th, 2002 09:27 amSo, back in college, we used to play a variation of Mad Libs. Basically, we'd pick a song title, and ask someone to give us a phrase based on how it would scan. So we'd ask for a gour-syllable noun or noun phrase with the accent on the first two syllables, someone would say "East Wichita," and we'd have to find a way to sing it to the tune of "Bad Medicine." The results weren't always great (as with regular Mad Libs), but we were pretty sure that was how Weird Al came up with his stuff.
Anyway, the point is that I've had Aerosmith's "(Dude) Looks like Ring Lardner" running through my head for a while now.

Date: 2002-08-13 08:36 am (UTC)My best one so far was listening to Audrey Hepburn sing "La Vie en Rose" in the movie Sabrina during my fourth or fifth time watching the movie. I got distracted and my brain heard "L'avion rose" and I turned back to the t.v. trying to figure out why she was singing about pink airplanes.
I spent the rest of the day amusing my brother with new lyrics involving pink airplanes. *grin*
