As I was leaving work, I spied the old Zip CD650 that was lying around, waiting to be surplussed. So I've borrowed it. On the one hand, ripping music from a USB-connected drive sucks. On the other, it's better than nothing. I'm ripping On the Twentieth Century right now. :-)
