yendiWell, assuming nothing drastic happens at her interview tomorrow, it looks like our new student worker will, for the third straight year, be a Math/CS student. This is odd, as A) the Math/CS department officially hates LearnLink (mind you, I'm talking about the faculty and sysadmins, not the undergrads), and B) even though we're a part of ITD, we don't really require programming skills for the job (just a level of comfort with computers). Then again, I'm pretty sure she's on the Math (and not CS) side of the fence. She's also a Mac person, which probably makes her really persona non grata in that department.
More importantly, we've been in need of a student worker for a while. The last two were hired before the summer even began, so we had them on the first day of classes. We might not get her until the end of the week, at the earliest. Having a student to foist off icon and other requests will be very very nice.
