Chicago update

yendi1. I'm in Chicago, and had a relatively trouble-free travel experience.
2. The net connection from the hotel sucks, so don't expect to see me posting too often.
3. Turns out that the burglars had cut the phone line, indeed. I'm so fucking angry right now, I can't even begin to articulate it.

shadesong has lots of folks staying and watching the house pretty much 24/7 now, and a new door and a security system bing installed that will react if the phone line gets snipped. I want it to be a moot point -- I want the assholes who did this to never come back, and to conventiently wrap their car around a telephone poll and remove themselves from the gene pool. But in the meantime, the house isn't the same one they entered before.
Have to log off -- see #2. It's fucking impossible to get online work done here. If anyone needs me, email -- it's easier to download and respond offline than it is to read LJ, I'm afraid.
