psychotic artists

So, I just looked at one of the early previews of Keith Giffin's Formerly Known as the Justice League series. He's using fucking sixteen-panel layouts. Not on every page, but the man is still psychotic. Gods help us all if he and Bendis ever work on the same book. I'll need a microscope.

Man, I'm such a Giffin fan... I wish I could just get trade versions of all of his JLA work.

Are they still making the JLA animated series, I wonder? I've actually never seen it, and mourned the loss of the Batman Superman adventures, and was infuriated that it went the wayside for "Batman Beyond". Ghaa!

Wouldn't it have been great to have had Giffin work on the JLA Animated Series?

They are still making the series. Our TIVO, in fact, has the second JLA animated movie, with Vandall Savage, Sgt. Rock and Easy Co., the first animated Steve Travor, etc. Looks like it'll be amazing.

I actaully liked Batman Beyond, but I saw no reason both shows couldn't have continued.

Now an animated Giffin JLA would be great. Much as there were some elements I could do without (by the end of his run, he'd lost all sense of Blue Beetle's actual character), it was still a blast.

I was digging through one at random a few months back, and realized that the inks were by Linda Medley. Always nifty to find something like that (Evan Dorkin did a few, too, but he was something of a name, even then).
