'cuz you know that has to be the original version of the song.

Anyway, between attempting to flit back and forth between waking [livejournal.com profile] shadesong, getting Elayna off the potty and into clothes, and packing lunches/snacks/lunch money, drinking coffee almost fell by the wayside. But I managed to get a cup in me, at least (necessary, as three hours of sleep is painful, even for me). Got Elayna out the door barely on time, and had a whopping two minutes of quality time with her at the bus stop to talk about things like why she shouldn't move to Australia just because her schmucky boyfriend wants to. Which is okay (the lack of quality time, not the moving to Australia for some creep), since we got lots of time in yesterday. But I still like getting what time I can with her (although the walk to the bus stop tends to be higher quality than the time at the stop itself, anyway, as there's another kid there usually).

Anyway, not much other news to report. I mean, I went to sleep at 2:30. Not much can happen in that much time. I've got an overflowing inbox, and lots of LJ reading to do when I get to work. One of these days, I may even make a real, thought-provoking post. In the meantime, props to Gwynraven for being the only one to acknowledge the "Shonen Gump" pun that I spent days, nay weeks*, working on.

Off to work.

I didn't acknowledge it because I apparently don't know enough about anime to realize that it's funny. Nothing kills a joke faster than being forced to explain it to the hoi polloi. :)

cheers,
Phil

I got it, but I don't know who was crankier last weekend, me or my computer.

Hey, what would your salary requirements be to live here and wake and ready my Munchkins? What kind of a raise would you want?

*chuckle*

OK, firts? You have a real 'flow' to the way you write things. It's an enjoyable read :) Second, as someone who undergoes the same ritual as you each morning (at least to some degree) I'd like to attest that I hate the 'giving lunch money' part - Mainly because I always seem to forget it :) Furthermore, my own bus stop experience consisted of waiting 15 minutes longer at the bus stop than usual before we figured out that it wasn't coming. As it turns out, schools arer still closed here due to lack of power... O_o
