Supergirl ends with #80. If I don't like Veitch's Aquaman, and once Beto leaves Birds of Prey, I'll be down to zero DCU titles and a whole lot of Marvel Universe books. Never would've thunk it could be a few years ago.

In other news, had a crappy night last night that had nothing to do with me, shadesong, or Elayna, and everything to do with knowing a friend was in trouble, and being unable to do anything. That said, there are a few of you (the folks closer to the thing, not the person at the epicenter, who has other things to worry about) who I wanna hear from to know things are okay, or, if not, what we can do to help. And *hugs* to all of you.

On the plus side last night, we finally watched two episodes Manchild (the Britcom with Anthony Stewart Head), which is damned funny. We've added a season pass to our Tivo.

And Buffy last night. Damn, that was good.

I caught Manchild a couple of weeks ago, and have been grabbing it since - I love it =)

And buffy - wow. I have a lot of speculation in my head, but I'll wait until I'm damn sure all the tivo junkies have watched it.

PAD reported it in his blog (http://www.peterdavid.net). Damned shame. Granted, six+ years is a good run for any writer on a book, but it's still a shame.

I never read it, but introducing Kara Zor-El after all this time (I'm not sure where I heard that was happening) sounded like a stunt at best, and shark-jumping at worst.

Stunt (with only two issues of the storyline out, it's hard to say whether it jumped yet). When PAD found out that the book was on the verge of cancelation, and that the editors were saying that one of the reasons was that it alienated the readers who wanted the Kara Zor-El character, he asked for permission to bring her back.
