Lynne Thigpen, who (under the name Lynne Richmond) played The Chief on Carmen Sandiego, is dead. :-(

She was 54. And all the news bytes I can find list the cause of death as "Unknown".

I do find it odd, however, that a lot of the biographies credit her "first appearance" as onstage in 1975, when I distinctly remember her in the 1973 movie "Godspell".

her imdb profile did list her as being in Godspell, though i am not sure when it said it was released.
