Happy Birthday!

fornorald!
Today's busy. Why do folks schedule meetings on April 1? It's pointless.
But in honor of this great holiday, I suggest reading some literature.
Forget the McSweeny's genre issue. Haypenny #10 is 'Courageous Dolphin Stories," edited by Salmon Rushdie and Jonathan Franzen (with art by Lisa Frank). Tom Clancy's "Smack my Bitch Up," and Frank McCourt's "I Should Have Just Killed You When I had the Chance."
Truly the best stuff either of them has written.

Date: 2003-04-02 05:16 am (UTC)The funniest song on this album is a send-up of the typical N'Sync-style boy-band romantic ballad, called "The Title of the Song." The band listened to hundreds (or maybe it just seemed like hundreds) of boy-band hits, deconstructed their common elements, and reconstructed their parody song in beautiful four-part harmony that sounds like an actual Hit Song. Go here and listen to a clip. (http://www.davincisnotebook.com/sounds/Title.mp3)
Sorry I haven't seen you yet - I've been very busy. But HUGS anyway.
