Must resist urge to filk Marvel Universe

So, we're listening to Queen's "Princes of the Universe" on the way into work today, and a line pops into my head:

I am Immortus, I have inside me blood of Kang.

And it won't pop out.

Must resist urge to write filk out of this.
The worst part is, half the lines wouldn't even need any changing ("Take me to the future of your world.")

The more I think about it, the less I think would need to be done. Just change that one line, and then the "king" in the chorus to "Kang," and it pretty much sums up Kang and Immortus (although it leaves out the Scarlet Centurion, Dr. Doom, and Rama-Tut, of course).

I like Queen to do filks or parodies. They have great lyrics and a grandiose sound. I have a telpathic singer picking We Are the Champions out of the crowd as part of her act, and then getting the song hijacked by a demon's version in my first novel.

May do that again, but using stuff from It's a Kind of Magic(Highlander). By far my favorite Queen album.

You could do a filk, but the original song has much the same theme anyway.

I always liked Kang, but hated his costume. The Scarlet Centurion costume was better.

I always thought Immortus was a wussy.

Nope. Not kept up with it the last 8 years. I have a long list of stuff to buy or borrow.

Very. It's what got me (briefly) back into the Avengers. It works very niecly as a standalone story (although it's damned complex and dense, featuring references to about every Avengers book ever written).
