Insomniac weekend update

yendiQuick recap of the last few days:
Friday (last day of vacation), I finally spent a day doing nothing at all; I just broke out the old Playstation and booted up Final Fantasy Tactics.
Saturday: We took Elayna over to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lupaloo's, where she met the entire crew of kids and had much fun, in spite of throwing a temper tantrum insisting that she didn't want to go there. We also had fun chatting with Lupa and her man, and Elayna, shadesong, and I all got haircuts from Lupa, too. Turns out their new place is really close to us, too, which is nice.
Sunday: Went to Decatur and hung out at Javamonkey, were we metijk and albumlady, and also saw sirinek, bheansidhe, vidicon, sibylla, and ryokan (although never all at the same time), as well as albumlady's middle child, who kept Elayna entertained (and vice-versa). Much fun was had, as well as a trip to Noodle.
Sunday night: Game night atjet_li_wannabe's, which ended up being Apples to Apples, which I think I've now had my fill of. It was still fun, though. Attendees were myself, jet_li_wannabe, his Tracy, Steve and his new lady, and Jerry (yes, a room where the non-LJ people were the majority. Scary).
Then, Sunday late night. I get the worst fucking case of insomnia I've had in years. I haven't slept a fucking wink. If I didn't have that one unmovable meeting today, I wouldn't even think about work today. But I've got to go in. Crap. After two hours of tossing and turning, I played FFT and finished off part one. I then remembered that we were out of juiceboxes for Miss Kid's lunch, so took a nice 3 AM walk to Kroger. No lines. Go figure. And now, it's 5:30, and I'm still not that tired. But I know it's going to be a high-caffeine day.
