One thing I haven't been chronicling is that since Saturday, I've been experiencing mild symptoms of an ear (or throat, or sinus, since they all tend to make me react in the same way) infection. It's gotten to the point where I've become grumpier and more anti-social than ever. So I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow (midday), at which point I hope to walk away with a nice 'scrip for amox or whatever that nifty med was I got for my last infection (which took only seven days to run its course). In the meantime, my ears hurt (although since they seem to take turns hurting, I'm inclined to believe that the sinus may be the source).

For future reference, having a child whose voice pitches like Elayna's can make ear infections a wee bit tricky. :-/

Edit: Having a co-worker like the one two cubes away makes this even worse.

Was the other nifty med Zithromax? (my personal favorite for dealing with bugs - especially since I'm now allergic to 'cillins :P)

Warm cloths against my ears usually eases the pain of my ear infections, as does a tiny drop of gently warmed (by hands, not by the applicatin of direct heat) garlic oil in each ear. This last item comes with the standard disclaimers about how I Am Not A Doctor Nor Do I Play One on TV and this advice is not intended to diagnose and treat and you should see your doctor and you should use only at your own risk. :)

The sinus track is directly connected to the ear canal, so it wouldn't be surprising if they are both affected in some way. The warm cloth/hot water bottle thing is what I always did when I had ear infections as a child and it id wonders. :)

Good luck getting any 'scrip drugs. Most doctors don't want you any unless they diagnose strep or something really icky.

Hope you feel better soon.
