I just received your email with the subject line, "Re: Meet Single Christian's."

Please understand, I'm not opposed to dating a Christian (and have done so in the past). However, I would never dream of dating anyone who didn't understand how to use an apostrophe. Such people have no place in my life.

I don't know why, but that just made me laugh out loud! Maybe it's because I have an apostrophe in my real last name... or years of being a newspaper editor in High School ingrained the whole difference between it's and its.... Whatever it was, I just think that's the funniest standard to eliminate potential mates! Not that I disagree, mind you!

What bugs me is that it doesn't work on any level. I tried to get it to say that single guys, named Christian, were looking to [livejournal.com profile] yendi for love, but without an object to be possessive of, that fails too.

Maybe they only want you to meet one part of said Christian...it just wouldn't be "Christian" to mention that part in the subject line.

I taught in a school (a private school, an American school in England that charged an arm and two legs for tuition) that embarrassed the English department with the following sign in a car park: Visitor's Parking.

There was more than space available. I didn't understand why only one visitor could park there at a time. ;)

I support your stance entirely.

How would you feel about someone who qualified an absolute?
