So, the new issue of Games arrived, and I settled onto the couch to do [livejournal.com profile] slipjig's puzzle (I treat puzzle mags the same way I treat anthologies -- if I know a creator, even if only via LJ, I read their stuff first). Elayna cuddled up with me and attempted to follow along. She then decided that she wanted to finally attempt some of the harder puzzles in her Puzzlemania books, and promptly proceeded to solve a crossword puzzle while on the potty.

No real update -- still feeling icky, but not as much so. Way behind on posting to LJ and reading, and no intention of catching up soon. [livejournal.com profile] gwynraven has headed back to SC, and in my varying states of grumpiness, I've failed to comment on how wonderful she and [livejournal.com profile] sunyata__ have been as houseguests. That said, I'm at my limit as to how many folks (beyond expected guests) have been in my personal space over the last few weeks (longtime readers will remember my rant about this), and have no intention of inviting anyone into said space or being inviting to anyone who happens to appear there up until 2004.

Good thing I'm not coming until March then...I'd hate to have you glaring at me from across the room! But I understand the need for personal space. *sigh* I live in a one bedroom, and I gave the boy the bedroom! LOL

I haven't gotten the new Games yet. What sort of puzzles does [livejournal.com profile] slipjig create?

Awright, Elayna! *high-fives Miss Kid* Of, course, now she's corrupted for life. (This is a good thing.)

By the way, I haven't seen it yet; did the puzzle come out okay? It was my first attempt at a form of that size, so the grid fill might've been iffy. (I admit it: I was shamed into trying it by looking at Patrick Berry and Raymond Young's stuff.)

My neighbor Al, (the one I've mentioned a few times in my journal) used to create puzzles for Games years ago. I am sure if you would have interest in knowing which (since you "know him" through me) he could probably recall which issues and what he thought his best pices were if you'd be interested. I could always just ask him on a Sunday when I get teh Help Wanted from him or any other time.
