I'm working from home today, helping [livejournal.com profile] shadesong recover from oral surgery, and the cats have conspired against me. Psychotic Jack has decided to prevent me from using the computer, jumping in my lap and on my desk whenever I head into the office to work. And less-active Max wakes up whenever I head to the couch to attempt to read last week's EW, heads over to the couch, and plops down on the magazine. He moves away as soon as I head back into the office. I swear, I think I prefer it when they fight than when they conspire.

And this surprises you?

We are here to serve their furry needs, and they will avail themselves upon you if you think otherwise..

Just so you know that dog owners have it no easier: my dogs are like that. Walking on/sitting on/lying on books, newspapers, case files...attempting to heave their 30 pound selves up onto my lap while I'm typing at the computer...barking at nothing just to startle me...that sort of thing. It is, apparently, criminal to pay attention to things that are not them. They have made this abundantly clear. Frequently. LOL
