Adam blasphemes, again

jet_li_wannabe rented Bubba Ho-Tep last night, and we (along with LJ-less Tracy and Gerry) watched it. Or attempted to.

After an hour, it had nearly put all of us to sleep.

I love the premise, I love the original story, I enjoy slow horror as much as gorefests, and I adore Bruce Campbell (and this really was his best performance), but this film just didn't do it for me. At all. I may watch Congo again before this.

We eventually gave up on it and played the new expansion for Scene It. Much more fun, even if Gerry won with three ludicrously easy questions in the Final Cut round.

Sorry you didn't like it... it was the first film that's impressed my wife really in the past 6 months or so. I thought it was nifty... not as good as Pirates of the Caribean, but certainly better than much of what passes for humerous horror films these days.
