Season 3 opener spoilers ahead:

Wow. Jerry O'Connell is a moron and a spaz. Who knew?

Actually, I thought he might do okay until he made the worst all-in since Adam Rodriguez. He deserved to be the first to go. Did anyone notice that he was in the same seat position as Rosario, Dulé, Rodriguez, and Sean Astin? I think there's a Moron Chair.

Willie didn't have the luck he had last time, but he had some nice cracks (I loved the tattoo with Dave Navarro's wife's name). It would've been nice if they'd edited things so that the jokes he used in interviews and during the game didn't get repeated.

(Speaking of editing, do you think they could have edited at least some of the references to the newly-defunct Jane's Addiction? Sheesh.)

Jennie Garth was surprisingly fun to watch (I mean, she's always fun to look at, but the last time I saw her giving interviews, in her 90210 days, she was annoying as anything). She made some savvy plays, but got way overconfident. That said, once she hit the short stack, she was solid.

Navarro and Kind both really impressed me. Both had great personalities for the game, and both played solid poker (although Dave should have knocked Jennie out on that one bluff, a mistake he rectified later).

Overall, a good start to the season.

Okay, I watched this last night because I had seen you talk about it here. Thanks. It was fun and I'm looking forward to watching future shows.

But this was season three? The info on the digital cable said it was game one of season two, so I had assumed it was a repeat.

Who won season two?

Cool! Thanks so much. I really do appreciate your talking about this, because it was a nice thing to have on in the background while I was doing some of my Hamlet reading.

Now that the theatre is dark for two months, I can watch TV. This will be a regular stop for my remote, I think.

Mmm.... Lauren Graham....

Ok. I haven't ever seen an entire episode of Celebrity Poker Showdown (in part because I'm annoyed that I missed the episode that had Allison Janney, so I'm punishing the TV because I can't remember whent to watch the show...or some sort of messed-up logic like that), but the bits I've seen have been funny.

I enjoyed it as well. Navarro and Kind really were an interesting match-up.

In case you hadn't heard, the Kings of Chaos (http://www.kingsofchaos.com/recruit.php?uniqid=47xyeua2) beta took an interesting turn yesterday... Sab isn't back (yet) but they've split up spies into sentries and spies. Sentries guard against spying (and soon, sab) and they've added "tools" for both classes...

Sab is back now. It will take a bit of time to re-work how many spies can get in, how much damage they do, etc...

Kind is a close, longtime pal of George Clooney's and hangs with their clique -- you can tell from watching him that he's played a LOT of poker. The back-and-forth way that game ended was just sheer, dumb luck.

I loved Dave Foley's remark about Navrro being bored because there was no one around to have sex with -- "That really annoys rock stars when there's no one to have sex with" or whatever it was he said. I almost hurt myself laughing.

Jerry O'Connell. I've always liked him as an actor, but every time I see him in a "real life" situation where he's not working from a script I'm struck by what a complete idiot he is.

I got hooked on this show when I saw Lauren Graham was on it and then kept watching it. (Maura Tierney beat her, BTW). Dave Navarro vs. Richard Kind was a great combo.
