Folks, even though the "official" Blog-a-thon isn't happening this year, there's lots of unoffical blogging for charity going on, much of it today:

My fiancee, shadesong, is blogging for RAINN, the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network. You can find her info post here. Her efforts begin at 9 today.

theferrett has been blogging since midnight for The National Hemophilia Organization. His info post is here.

karlita is meta-blog-a-thoning, as she's blogging in support of the other folks blogging. Her info post is here.

These are truly deserving causes, and sending even a few bucks to the charities can make a huge difference.

There are other folks blogging next weekend as a part of the Blog Project -- yuki_onna for sure, maybe one or two others of you? Please let me know, so I can mention something as the week moves on. And if I've missed any of you who are blogging today, let me know so I can edit this post (although if it happens after I check out of the hotel, leaving a message in comments will be the best I can do).
