We finally get to see Phil Gordon in action! Sorta.

First game:

Aggressive play can be fun, to an extent. But Washington just took things too far. Yeah, playing that hard and loose can take out the short stacks, but he just about gave his chips away as the game wound down. Fischman was a bit of an ass, but he played well, surprisingly so given his background. But I was rooting for Atawa, who played a solid game throughout. Both finalists deserved the bracelet, but I'd have liked to see the opposite outcome.

Anyone else get the impression that Rodman and Johnson would both have been a lot more fun to watch if they'd been in more hands? Seemed like good poker personalities.

Second game:

Wow. Is Eskimo Clark the biggest ass in the game, or what. Yeah, he got table-talked and beaten. Both are a part of the game. Deal with it. Not that it'd ever matter, but I don't think I'd ever play twice with anyone who refused to shake hands after losing. Asshole.

Otherwise, it was a damned fine game, as it should have been, given the higher entry fee. Keller, Sousa, and Deknijff were all playing damned well, and they were all a blast to watch. Some nice river cards made for an interesting match. Solid play,

On the digressions: They actually have a Blind Mans' Bluff event at the WSoP? Wow. And yeah, Phil blew it, big time.

And Annie? Yeah, you're an amazing player, but tone down the ego a bit. Especially since I don't see you listed as a final table contestant in next week's final table. You really are the best female player in the world, but let others say it, okay?

And instead of a drinking game, can we have a WSOP "Smack the announcers" game, where I get to beat the crap out of them with a baseball bat whenever they annoy me (which is at least 50% of the time they say anything at all)?
