Wow. I knew that they were teasing following through on the Terra betrayal plotline, but I didn't expect it this soon. They did a nice job with it, considering how brutal the original Judas Contract plotline was. I hope we'll be spared Jericho (most annoying Titan ever, and that says a lot, when you consider the folk who've been members), but I'd love to see more development of Slade. Um, without the "sleeping with Terra" angle, though.

This was just such a great Beast Boy episode, too. I loved the entire amusement park sequence.

As for the show that followed:

I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] shadesong could barely catch the show, as I couldn't resist squeeing over so many favorites appearing in the background. Zatanna! Booster Gold! Sand! Atom Smasher! Hell, the entire JSA, pretty much. Even the friggin' Golden Age Vigilante. And Vibe. Okay, that last one isn't squee-worthy, even to this fanboy, but hey, they were thorough.

And I loved seeing Ollie in action. If only they hadn't already thrown away the "hard traveling heroes" line back with Flash and GL last season, they could so play with that relationship. But GA is GA, right down to the old antiwar sentiment and the lack of interest in the team. Other than in a certain Pretty Bird.

Kara, as always, is great. She was my favorite thing about the Superman cartoon, and she rocked here.

GL's bitterness after the end of last season is also nicely played up, although I'd still like to see some more resolution on that storyline.

And Captain Atom (played by that not-fired CSI guy) was an interesting interpretation. Yeah, not like the more relaxed Nathanial Adams of the comics, he's a nice contrast to the other characters.

And next week: the animated version of "For the Man Who Has Everything," one of my favorite Alan Moore stories! Yay!

I actually loved the cartoon, and I don't remember much of the JSA comics, 'cuz the only DC stuff I really read was Catwoman. But Teen Titans has grown on me, and the JSAU cartoon was really good.

Who was the blond at the end, tho?

Black Canary. Her and Ollie had a thing in canon.

Or did they? I read so much fanfic I sometimes cannot keep the two straight.

Ooh, they did the Judas Contract?

I watched TT once, but ran away from it because they screwed up Raven, and she was my favorite character.

Crappity crap crap! My TiVo didn't catch either show even though I have season passes for both. It didn't get Teen Titans because the episode "Betrayal" seems to have an original air date of March 2004, and it didn't get Justice League because the name changed to Justice League Unlimited. I'm glad I caught your post.

Dammit! I forgot those were on tonight. Not reading the spoilers, but thanks for mentioning it, so that I can snag the reairings tomorrow.

Haven't fully watched either yet, but they are downloaded and set for viewing on the computer. I was pretty surpirsed by some of the characters just getting minor cameos in those first waves of the people called to "join the team". The whole JSA things was insane...

the one that really caught my eye was that gypsy character from during the Crisis. I can't recall her name, but it was weird to see her there.

Looking forward to freeframing and seeing if I notice anything that really makes me go "Woah".
