Puerto Rico!

jet_li_wannabe, Tracy, Loriann, Thomas, and yours truly. I won by getting an early factory, which, along with four crops, led to lots of money, which then led to my owning two of the five big buildings, including the one that gave rewards for victory point chips. Ended up with over 60 victory points, which was enough to inch by most of the others. As with all Puerto Rico strategies, I suspect it won't work at all next time we play.

Date: 2004-08-02 09:11 am (UTC)That's my strategy as well for the game... get factory early, and get lots of plantations going and pile on the money. We usually have 6 players, and the points are much lower because of that, I suspect. Or, we're just bad, and drunk, as our game nights tend to involve half a case of wine.
