As therapeutic as it feels, screaming won't change anyone's mind. It just makes them scream back harder. It's a new kind of fight, now, and a harder fight to win because it means not fighting at all. It means holding on for all your worth. It means holding on until both sides are heard and understood. It means modeling the respect you deserve to both yourself and those who hate you. How can anyone learn without an example. Show them what you are worth. Show them who and what you are.

If you want to be heard, by all means, raise your voice!

But let them hear you SING!
