ABC execs are assholes. They not only scheduled Lost to run an extra minute (which would Tivo-bust anything I wanted to watch at 9, not that there was any such beast), but actually had the show run longer than scheduled, so we missed what I hope was only a few seconds of dialogue. So, for anyone who has seen the episode, a minor request:
Could you please tell me what happened between Locke and Boone during their final conversation, after Boone realized that he'd been drugged? Thanks muchly.
Was a good TV night last night. Caught Tuesday's Veronica Mars (featuring whatsername from Cupid as a recurring guest star, and lots of really juicy revelations), last night's Lost, and the pilot episode of Popular, a show I'd missed when it first came out. I'm already kicking myself for not watching it the first time, and wanting to kick WB execs for canceling it.
Alas,
shadesong has taken ill this morning. :-(
I just found out that one co-worker has somehow finagled training for three days next week. Yes, the first fucking week of the semester. Three days at short staff. Motherfucker. No way that should have been approved. And yes, it's the peter-principle person I've griped about before. Incompetent or not, we need the warm bodies around to handle the gruntwork. I'm just plain livid right now.
In better news, the latest Onion has a special MLK day issue (mostly reprints, but funny stuff).
And even better, Hugh Laurie as Perry White in the Superman movie! Woohoo!
Looks like the Spanish voice talent for The Simpsons have similar issues to the English-speaking folks.
Oh, folks? You can be immature at 20. But you're not just a kid. So Prince Harry dressing as a Nazi? The actions of an adult. That means he knew damned well what the uniform represented, and deserves whatever fallout he gets, and more.
Work has made this post take two hours to compose already, so I guess I'll just go ahead and post it.
