How to fuck up a classic game

Atari is releasing a cartridge of classic games for the Ninendo DS, which, by itself, isn't a big surprise (similar disks exist for the various consoles). But they've decided to update the gameplay and graphics with "graffiti" art. Which means that Warlords now looks like this:



Sigh. Fuck that noise.

If anyone wants a damned fine update of Warlords, download Freeverse/Strange Flavour's Airburst Extreme (which may be one of my three or four all-time favorite games). But if you're going to release a collection of classics, either don't fuck with them, or leave the classic gameplay as an option.

I always went nuts playing Warlord because the stupid computer player had the option of throwing the ball at his own castle and blowing himself up. Thanks for the challenge, meathead!

Wow. That's an incredibly dumb "update". It doesn't look like Warlord. It looks like it should be called DJ Mastaa or something similar...
