Last week's Monster House, the Three Stooges House, featured the most insane builder the show has ever had, Dan "Curly" Summers. You have to watch this episode to believe it.

Other items caught on Tivo over the last few days: Last week's Lost (which felt a little flatter than other ones), Teen Titans, JLU (which continues to amaze), Ghost in the Shell, The Batman (which impresses me more each time, especially with this particular incarnation of The Penguin), and last night's Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars.

Yeah, I've had some free time. :-)

I also watched all of Season 4 of The Simpsons from my DVD collection.

Yes, I'm pissed about the NHL season, too, but it was only officially cancelled today. It was dead a month ago and then some -- any attempt at a "season" would have been pitiful. But yeah, count me in on any list of people disgusted at the non-state of the game.

Then again, baseball starts in just a few weeks, and I, for one, am looking forward to watching Jason Giambi apologizing for swinging like a little girly-man, and Sammy Sosa grinning, hopping, and pointing skyward when he pops up to right. And to the Mets maybe finding someone other than Jesse Orosco to pitch middle relief. And you know that Bud Selig has to love the idea of spending a year not being considered the worst commissioner in pro sports.

heya, are you a member of ColumbiaHouse DVD/TV EDITION site?

I know how to get *any* selection box sets in the TV EDITION, and it may work in regular DVD, etc if you have the number it's listed as. If you want, I can tell you how, offline or by email. I'd rather not too many people know, so they don't make an changes.

I ordered for $9.99 total(have been approved for, but they havent shipped yet, though it's only been 2 days):
Monty Python Flying Circus Megaset 1969 (17 or 14 dvds)
Coupling Series 1-4 2000 BBC (1 selection for all 4)(7 discs)

It's buy one box set at $9.99, get one free, free ship, and only 2 more of any dvds as low as $19.99 to buy ever... so about $50 for 2 box sets, 2 dvds worth between $300-$500 list. Not too shabby, eh?
