The guy who invented crash test dummies has died. No, I have no idea if he wrote the cartoon series.

Want a real sense of the damage caused by Gary Bettman and the NHL cancelation? Read this article.

Remember the news story a couple of days ago in which a majority of high schoolers thought that newspapers should publish only with government approval (the story was notable for the fact that it made Dubya spontaneously ejaculate)? Bill Maher responds here.

In response to my last post, there's been some mention of the current non-state of Saturday Morning cartoons nowadays. I can't recommend Saturday Morning Fever: Growing Up With Cartoon Culture highly enough. Although in need of a second edition (it was published in 1999), this book is essentially a love letter to/defense of the Saturday Morning line-ups of our youth, and is just plain funny.

And then add in a 2nd generation of harm - those who depend on those who make money from the NHL. I'm still waiting to find out how much of a hit my child support will take, and it may well mean having to move before summer into a smaller/cheaper place. :-/

Reminds me of "War for the Oaks" when Eddi gets upset with Phouka for giving fae money to the guy for the motorcycle, and then theorizes on the harm down the line that could come from that deception.

'because if I just get up there every Friday night and spout the Bush administration's approved talking points, that's not freedom or entertainment. It's Fox News.'

*dies laughing*

poor Fox Republican News channel. (as we've dubbed it in my household.) why is it that no one is buying that 'fair and unbiased' tagline?

Too much crashing through windshields finally caught up with him.
