While Miss Kid was at Girl Scouts today, we grabbed breakfast at Crescent Moon (mmm, griddle grits), and then went into the mall to walk off the meal. [livejournal.com profile] shadesong found some sneakers at an Athlete's Foot that was going out of business for $18, and I found Kim Possible nesting dolls and PVC figures on clearance at the Disney Store ([livejournal.com profile] shadesong: Elayna might like the PVCs, but I don't know about the nesting dolls." Me: "These aren't for Elayna." I mean, I was watching the show first, dammit.).

Then we stopped at EB on the way out. Sitting there on the shelf was a used copy of Star Trek: TNG Season 1 for $35! Considering how prohibitively expensive the TNG sets are (I've ranted before about how the Trek, X-Files, and HBO shows need to take a lesson from Whedon and co and actually price their sets at a level that normal humans can afford), this was the score of the day. Wonder what the odds of us finding the other six seasons at that price are. :-)

Weird. I ate at Crescent Moon today too, for the first time in more than a year.

Can somebody tell me what the hell are Grits? You see / read about americans eating them all the time - and I'm fairly certain they're not eating what "grit" is in England (i.e. rough pebbly dirt on the road).
