I'm with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], the line "Then they had some kind of emotional reaction and vomited." is the best line in the article.
What I want to know is, how does one not notice a finger parked on your spoon? Was the restaurant-goer that hungry and just didn't see it pointing at him? Was it just a fingertip or part of a finger?
I'm extremely skeptical of that article, having worked at Wendy's for three years. For that matter, I worked for three years at a Wendy's in the city in which the chain originated.
The article said that the chili is made by a distributor, which is bunk. The chili is made *AT EACH STORE* with meat that stays on the grill too long. So overcooked burgers is about the grossest thing in the chili, really. The only things that come from the distributor are things it would be pretty hard to hide fingers in - like lettuce, tomatoes, little milk cartons, toys, etc, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I hated my job and the management treated employees like shit, but I do know that Wendy's is one of the few burger chains I WILL eat at anymore.
